Flashback Friday - Around NYC this summer...

I can't believe it's almost Fall, Cheers to that!

Equal parts bizarre and sad.  Yes, that is a guinea pig in a dog bed.

TWINS!!!!!  It's like the East Village, dog version of The Parent Trap!!!

Blow outs at DryBar...with complimentary champagne!

Fun drinks at Mayahuel in the East Village. Their drink menu (and food) is ridiculous.

Hells Kitchen apartment parties with some lovely friends.

Rooftop drinks at 230 Fifth on a gorgeous night. Go here! Often, but before the doorguy shows up. No hassle and less of a crowd makes it easier to enjoy with friends!

Pink Floyd concert (Roger Waters - The Wall) at Yankee Stadium with my Dad!

And my nephew finding the perfect crack in the West Village to play with his trains on!  So innovative, that kid.

Pirate Booty delicately placed on Remy's snaggle teeth did not happen in NYC...but it happened. And that in itself is amazing.  Au revoir Summer!

Flashback Friday

Here's a video from Jeff's 30th. He's actually still 30, so although this isn't from too far back, I think it still counts as a "flashback" because it's BB (Before blog).  We celebrated with 2 friends at Grand Cascades Lodge in Northern NJ (out past a bazillion places that I swear did not exist in this state - wild west park, anyone?).  In a word, Grand Cascades is...PERFECTION.  I mean, they have an indoor Bio-sphere and an outdoor heated (and an unheated, brr) pool!    I know it was Jeff's birthday, but it was one of my favorite weekends ever!

PS. This video was not edited by me.  Our friend (in the video) did it for us. Isn't it great?!
PPS. Enjoy!

Flashback Friday

From an early age, I realized that I was verrrry different from my peers in one very huge way: I had parents who did not give a crap what I looked like when I left the house...SO I dressed like a crazy person.

From ages 5 and up, I had free reign of my abysmal hand-me-down filled closet, allowing me to show the world just how disheveled and wildly unkempt a kid can look.  Jealous?  I understand.  Two things came out of this life experiment: I lived a pretty creative existence as a kid AND I have horrendous childhood photos.

Here is a gem taken from the back seat of our mini-van as we drove to North Carolina:

Happy weekend!

Flashback Friday

These pictures are from my 25th birthday.  Jeff and I had been dating about a year and he decided to surprise me at work with the most elaborate display of desk-insanity I've STILL ever seen.  The only problem with such an outwardly crazy surprise was that I was fairly new at my job and I hate surprises. Talk about being completely mortified.

How many tablecloths were killed in the making of this?  Too many.
Smiling through the shortness of breath.
Sunflowers are my favorite.
Even my bobble-head Jesus got a Post-it.
I feel how I look here. Crazy.
AND what is up with the Barbie theme?! Oh Jeff.  He really knew how to woo his woman (well, I did marry him a year later- dang)!

HAPPY FRIDAY! xoxo
