Hey y'all!

So, it's about time that you know...

we (my husband, dog, and myself) are expecting...a miniature version of ourselves!!! (think less dog, more human)

That is why I've been paying MUCH more attention to my other blog and ignoring this one (sad face).   But it needn't go on any longer. I am 14 weeks along and the excitement can officially be spread.

Jeff has an archery tournament in Kentucky this weekend so some friends and us have decided to make a mini road trip extravaganza out of it! This was Day 1...

2012, a Video.

Below is a little something I threw together to represent 2012.  Unfortunately, I did not video tape enough AT ALL last year, so while I wish I had more, it will have to do.  2012 was a hard year for personal reasons that I'll be sure to divulge at some point, but it was also an amazingly fantastic year in it's own way.  When I watch this, I try not to focus on my shoddy editing job and instead see how blessed and lucky we are.  And I also see how important it is to make memories like this one.  I've always felt pressure to be a historian of my life because you never know when you'll need to look back and "remember when"...

Happy New Year! 2013!

First of all...I am so excited for this upcoming year. 2013 is going to be great. I reallyreallyreally hope so.

Second of all, I'm too old for this crap. It is now two days into this year and I am fully exhausted STILL from NYE. Something about staying up until 6am, chatting up my best friends husband and drinking wine just does not seem to fly anymore.

My resolutions are:

No alcohol for 4 months. (Other than one previous birthday party plan in 2 weeks) why not?

Continue going to acupuncture and staying stress free!

Hated it.

YUM: Strawberry Brie cups

I just made these for a New Years party and they were not only quick and easy but also delicious.

Buy:
1 wedge of Brie
Strawberry jam
Phyllo cups

Do:
Cube the Brie and place it into the phyllo cups
Bake at 350 for 7 minutes
Remove from oven and scoop jam onto each cheese cup
Bake again at 350 for 3 minutes

Ready to eat in 2 minutes!!!! Crispy and delish!
